Our Team

Michael W. Crowley, Principal

Michael has over forty years of public accounting experience, which includes planning, performing and supervising a variety of audit engagements. These engagements include audits of businesses, nonprofit organizations and local governments. Mike has a BS in Business Administration from SUNY Oswego and a Master of Business Administration concentrating in Taxation from Hofstra University. Michael is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice public accountancy in New York and Pennsylvania. As an audit principal, Michael is responsible for the planning of audits performed. In doing so, he works with our clients, and our professionals who will be performing the fieldwork, to ensure that we have planned our audit to be both efficient and provide proper audit coverage. Mike also actively participates in performing fieldwork as well as reviewing our audit work and reports to ensure that our audits have been properly performed. Mike is a resource to our firm's professionals regarding tax issues that relate to nonprofits.

Michael exceeds the required 80 hours of governmental continuing professional education hours semi-annually. Michael is a member of the AICPA, the NYS Society of CPAs, the Institute of Internal Auditors and a business associate member of the New York State Association of School Business Officials. Mike is the treasurer for the Watertown Rotary Club and a Trustee (appointed by Jefferson County Legislators) for Jefferson Community College.

Pamela J. Halloran, Principal

Pamela has over nineteen years of experience providing auditing and accounting services for a number of audit engagements including school districts, villages, churches, CAP agencies, health clinics, WIC programs, Head Start programs, employee benefit plans, and other nonprofit organizations. As an audit and quality control principal of the firm, she performs a large portion of the audit fieldwork as well as evaluating and making recommendations concerning internal controls. Pamela has worked with a wide variety of accounting and reporting systems, and has extensive experience in assisting clients with the implementation and operation of accounting and information systems. Pamela also is a resource to our firm’s professionals regarding financial accounting and reporting issues and is responsible for monitoring and maintaining our firm’s quality control procedures. As the field supervisor for our firm's audits, Pam has refined our system for planning and supervising audits, especially in the areas of administrative and accounting controls and compliance auditing.

She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice public accountancy in New York and Pennsylvania. Pamela is the deputy treasurer of the Watertown Noon Rotary. She is also the treasurer of the JRC Foundation, and DPAO Foundation.

Gary L. Pitkin, Senior Staff Accountant

Gary has been serving our clients since 1987 and has over thirty-four years of public accounting experience. Gary is proficient in all types of tax preparation, compilations and reviews, as well as a variety of accounting programs. Gary’s expertise and extensive background in all phases of accounting makes him a valuable resource to our firm and our clients. Gary earned an A.A.S. degree in accounting from Jefferson Community College in 1976.
